The website checklist for new naturopaths

You've finished your degree, sorted your insurance and set up your booking system. The website is the last piece. Here's everything it needs before you go live, and what can wait.

The five pages you actually need

Home. Who you help, what you help with, and how to book. A new visitor should understand all three without scrolling far.

About. Your qualifications, your association membership and why you do this work. People are choosing a person, not a service.

Services. What a consult involves, how long it takes, what it costs, and whether you see people in person, online or both.

FAQ. The questions you answer on every discovery call: what to bring, whether you work with GPs, how follow-ups work.

Contact & Book. Your booking link, a contact form, and your clinic location or service area.

Anything beyond these five can wait until you're seeing clients.

The details people check before booking

The settings Google needs

  • A page title and description on every page that says what you do and where
  • Your own domain name, registered in your name
  • A site that works properly on a phone, since that's where most people will find you
  • Your site added to Google Search Console so you can see whether it's being found

Before you go live

  • Read every claim on your site against your association's advertising guidance. If you're unsure about a claim, take it out.
  • Click every button and link, on your phone and your laptop.
  • Book a test appointment through your own booking link.
  • Send yourself a message through your contact form and make sure it arrives.

What can wait

A blog, a shop, online courses and a big photo shoot can all come later. A simple, clear site you launch this month will do more for you than a perfect one you launch next year.

Once you're live, here's how to get your first clients online.

Frequently asked questions

How many pages does a new naturopath website need?

Five: Home, About, Services, FAQ, and Contact & Book. Anything else can wait until you're seeing clients.

What can wait until later?

A blog, a shop, online courses and a professional photo shoot can all be added once your practice is running.

Do I need professional photos before I launch?

No. Well-chosen stock images can suit your design to start with, and swapping in your own photos later is a quick job.

Want it done for you? Peppeddev builds all five pages on one of three ready-made designs, for $695, live in about a fortnight.
